‘Athletes of the Sky’ is a project created at the end of my residency at the Topolski Gallery in London that encompassed a series of reportage drawings made whilst spending time with people who raise and race birds. Meeting with a pigeon fancier in Surrey, falcon racers in Bahrain, and the ‘Raven Master’ from the Tower of London, I documented our time together through drawings and audio. The project ended with an exhibition on London’s Southbank, and with this animation.
