I’m Holly—a creative journalist and anthro-artist specializing in research, illustration, and audio to weave engaging stories that explore the intersections of science, art, and anthropology. Starting as an illustrator, I ventured into reportage drawing, using image-making as a “high-vis vest” of sorts to access places out-of-the-ordinary. Shifting gears during the pandemic, I pursued a Master's in Social Anthropology at SOAS. Now, I work to blend illustration, research, and academic writing to create nuanced narratives, with the aim to capture diverse stories, that utilise different mediums to evoke a sense of time and place. Tired of limiting myself to one mode of storytelling, I aim to encompass my practice as a whole—catering outcomes and processes to suit each story best.
