Set in the living room of a Green and Golden Bell frog, the short story, ‘Frog Scientist’, portrays a research encounter – not quite fact and not quite fiction – in which an endangered amphibian recounts how his species has come to live on the peripheries of Sydney and the cusp of extinction. ‘Frog Scientist’ was born from a body of research into Sydney’s urban wetlands, including: first hand interviews with a Sydney ecologist, Arthur White. The work has been risoprinted with Pinch Press on Gadigal land, and is available to buy.
